AMINA BHIMLA is a Canadian Poet. During her early teenage years, she volunteered as Assistant Teacher at the ISNA School's summer program where she helped to teach children between the ages of four and seven. She has been writing poetry since the early 1990's. Her second poem was featured in her high school yearbook publication in Ontario. After graduating from High School, she lived for two years in Pakistan. Once back in Canada, she began volunteering for a local community journal, The Ambition. She was one of the Writing Committee Members for the journal for five years. She has been the Co-President of a local musician's fan club for over ten years, who's personal website she updated and edited, as well as built a fan club website and online community. She has traveled around the world from USA, Mexico, South Asia, Europe and Egypt.
She is presently working in the retail sales industry while pursuing her poetic dreams and aspires to visit new countries in her future. She is currently working on four books; The Road Leading To You (Poetry), Jasmine's Secret Diaries (Story/ Poetry), Jenny and Penny (Children's), and Pieces Scattered (Poetry). Amina also makes her own jewelry and is hoping to sell those pieces in the near future.
Amina has always been artistic and enjoyed art class as a child and in her teens. It was in high school when she began to explore that venue more. It has always been thru art that she expressed herself best. She has recently decided to explore those options once again and take a new look into those artistic abilities. In writing poetry, her world changed. She enjoyed it so much that for many years it was all she concentrated in life. She has never looked back.
